Digital cameras for microscopes A digital camera that is designed especially to fit over the eyepiece of your microscope, converts it into a digital microscope. This saves the expense of having to replace your traditional microscope with a digital version. Picture shows a variety of digital cameras for microscopes and you can see from the picture on the left how the camera is designed to fit the microscope eyepiece. The models shown in the centre of the picture are designed to fit over upright eyepieces. Digital microscopes allow you to capture the magnified image and save it to PC. You can then email to share images with colleagues, insert into a PowerPoint presentation, use software to edit your images, or simply to print out.
